PREUSE partners prepare for the June Symposium

18/19.03.2026 - Paris

PREUSE partners meet at La Maison des canaux for the 8th steering committee

The nine partners of the PREUSE project gathered in Paris on 19 March 2026 for the eighth Steering Committee, hosted at La Maison des Canaux , one of France's most documented circular construction sites, built with 90% salvaged materials.

Site visit to Cycle Up to observe a circular construction platform in action

The morning after, the group travelled to Cycle Up in Noisy-le-Sec for a guided tour of one of the most active circular construction platforms in the Paris region, the fifth public site visit in the project's programme.

Preparing for the June International Symposium

The meeting was also focused on the road to June: the PREUSE International Symposium, which brought together public authorities, researchers and construction professionals in Mechelen and Brussels on 4–5 June 2026 around one shared question : how do we make public reuse centres standard practice?

Partners also worked through one of the field's core challenges: the legal and practical frameworks for material transfers and donations involving public actors. A subject that sits at the heart of what PREUSE is trying to solve.

On the knowledge and tools side, the four Local Action Plans (Mechelen, Métropole du Grand Paris, Utrecht, Wiltz) were advancing toward the Symposium deadline, and the Opalis Library , the project's online documentation centre, had already passed 200 references.
