On 8 October 2026, PREUSE contributed a workshop to Grand Paris Circulaire, the Métropole du Grand Paris’s annual circular-economy event, held this year for its 10th edition as the metropolitan authority marked its tenth anniversary.
Among the day’s many sessions, the workshop “Developing reuse centres in your territory” was introduced by Clara Beillouet and Zélie Perrin (Métropole du Grand Paris) and led by Hugo Topalov and Gabrielle Jacob (Bellastock), who presented two of the project’s deliverables:
• the Atlas of reuse centres and types of public support, documenting 18 reuse centres visited between June 2024 and June 2025 across Belgium, France, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal and Switzerland;
• the PREUSE strategy, a practical guide to help public authorities set up and run reuse centres for salvaged construction materials — covering getting started, choosing a site, managing materials, organising staff and controlling costs. Built on 18 case studies and workshops with more than 60 public authorities, it is structured in five clear stages. This is a working draft, to be revised and enriched before the final version at the end of the project.
Participants then worked in small groups on four themes: advocacy, public support, economic models and material strategy.
The Atlas and the strategy are available in English and French → Outcomes page
The workshop was delivered with the support of Valdelia.
